ENROLLMENT
The Chain Exploration Center Inc. does not discriminate on the basis of a student's sex, race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital or parental status, sexual orientation, physical, mental, emotional or learning disability/handicap.
HOW DO I APPLY?
The enrollment period for the
2024-25 school year opens on February 5th, at 9:00 a.m and closes on March 15th at 11:59 p.m. If there are more applications than slots available, a public lottery will be held. If the lottery is necessary, it will be held, April 18 @ 5:30 p.m.
SIMPLY STATED CHARTER SCHOOLS ARE:

granted flexibility for operation of school

public schools
-
contracted with an authorizer (School District of Waupaca is our authorizer)

provides elementary or secondary education or both
-
nonsectarian
-
free to attend and do not charge tuition

complicit with discrimination laws

schools parents choose to send their children

admit students based on lottery if admission maximum is reached

in accordance with state law (118.40)

The lottery becomes necessary when we have reached our admissions maximum.
Our contract with the School District of Waupaca states our current maximum is 18 per grade level.
State and Federal law requires us to hold a lottery under these rules:

Priority shall be given to students currently enrolled in the Chain Exploration Center.

Priority shall be given to siblings of currently enrolled students (it is possible siblings may go to lottery if the siblings to attend would be over our enrollment maximum. The siblings must also apply to the Chain Exploration Center like all other students.

The lottery is a public event and therefore public record.

Once the lottery has been held, a wait list will be created based on the time stamp of the application.
