Popcorn Days

The first and third Friday of the month is PopcornDay at the CEC.  PTG volunteers pop and distribute to all the kids.

Who are we?

We are a group of parent and teacher volunteers who regularly meet and work together to raise money through a variety of fundraisers for the enhancement of our student learning.

What do we do?

  • Organize and Participate in Fundraising

  • Volunteer for and with Kids

  • Plan Teacher Appreciation Week

  • Sponsor Presenters for Kids

  • Sponsor, Plan, and Volunteer for Holiday Crafts with Kid

  • Seek out Opportunities for Building and Grounds Improvements



  1. Paid the cost for the fall class field trips.

  2. Two bottle filling water fountains to replace existing fountains.  Install included and pending.

  3. Donated $350 to the Waupaca Library sponsored event with Illustrator Jarrett Krosoczka.

  4. Paid for the cost of Winter Wonderland crafts and supplies

  5. Organized and Sponsored the 1st Annual "Spring Bloom" school dance and raffle.

  6. Paid for K-2 school-wide trip to the Appleton Children's Museum

  7. Organized and sponsored Teacher Appreciation Week.

  8. Purchased Waupaca Alumni Amy Ward's children's book for each classroom.

  9. Organized and sponsored "No Screen Week" Pancake Day and donated prizes for No Screen Week Bingo.

  10. Sponsored a Pizza Party for CEC.

  11. Sponsored an Ice Cream Party for the end of the year Beach Bash.

  12. Sponsored two Penny Challenges and donated funds to local community members.



  1. Paid for 1/2 the cost of class field trips, including school-wide trip to the Children's Museum

  2. Entire cost of the trips to the Performing Arts Center for plays

  3. Activities and prizes for Dr. Seuss Week and "No Screen Week"

  4. Paid for Iditarod presentation by Hugh Neff

  5. Paid for 1/2 the cost of Winter Wonderland crafts and supplies

  6. End of the year celebration-the ZooZort experience




  1. Paid entire cost of classroom field trips, including the school-wide trip to the Children's Museum.

  2. Paid entire cost of the trips to the Performing Art Center for plays.

  3. Activities and prizes for "No Screen Week" and Dr. Seuss Week

  4. Professor Gizmo science presentation

  5. Entire cost of Winter Wonderland crafts and supplies

  6. Purchased exercise balls and buckets for Creative Expressions Night

  7. Purchased timers for Physical Education classes

  8. End of the year ZooZort experience.



  1. Paid 1/2 the cost of class field trips.

  2. Purchased 2 new items of playground equipment

  3. Activities and prizes for "No Screen Week" and Dr. Seuss Week.

  4. Funded Tom Pease musical entertainment.

  5. Purchased 6 OSMO learning centers for classroom tablets.

  6. End of the year picnic-food and games (prizes).
