CHAIN EXPLORATION CENTER
A Community of Passionate Educators and Learners
GATHERING PAVILION AND OUTDOOR CLASSROOM
We are currently working on revitalizing the CEC grounds. The first stage of the plan includes building an outdoor pavilion to act as a classroom and covered gathering space for community events. Next steps include working with the grounds department to determine placement.
Our mission is to provide a place where children explore their passions and gain a strong educational foundation through project-based learning in a collaborative community.
You’ve Got Questions. We’ve Got Answers
HOW MUCH IS SCHOOL TUITION?
The Chain Exploration Center is part of the School District of Waupaca and is free to all applicants.
WHAT IS A CHARTER SCHOOL?
A charter school is a public school, open to all students, offering creative instructional techniques to deliver curriculum. In Wisconsin there are currently 234 charter schools in operation.
HOW DOES THE LOTTERY WORK AND WHY?
State law requires charter schools that receive applications beyond the enrollment cap to hold a lottery per grade level. Each year the Chain Exploration Center accepts 18 students per grade level in grades 4K-3 and 20 students per grade level in grades 4-8. There is one lottery which is held after the registration window closes. If a lottery is necessary it will be a public event open to applicants and families.
